The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) invites applicants for the position below
Position:  Teacher
Location:  Ibadan
Contract:  3-years renewable contact

IITA is an international non-profit agricultural research-for-development (R4D) organization

established in 1967, governed by a Board of Trustees, and a member of the CGIAR Consortium. Our R4D approach is anchored on the development needs of tropical nations. We work with partners to enhance crop quality and productivity, reduce producer and consumer risks, and generate wealth from agriculture. Duties

The successful candidate will among their things perform the following duties and responsibilities:
Educational Leadership

• Be committed to and promote academic excellence
• To provide in-service training as required by hears

Teaching Role

• Be responsible for the education and welfare of the Grade 4 plus
• Plan and prepare courses and lessons following the programmes in place
• Assess, record and report and on the progress of the pupils
• Maintain a well-ordered teaching areas
• Responsible for and participate in two afternoon clubs
• Follow the timetable as agreed with the head
• Ensure compliance with all requirements of a class teacher as laid down in the Class Teacher

 Duties report

• Perform any other related duties as may be assigned
Qualifications
B.Ed./B.Sc. Education with minimum of five (5) years relevant experience
Competencies
• Child-centered
• Inquiry-based teaching knowledge
• Good interpersonal skills and well organized
