A court in Bauchi State Nigeria has discharged and acquitted two men accused of having gay sex and who were accused of belong to homosexual group. The presiding judge while delivery judgment said there was a lack of evidence to convict the men.

In his word “there was lack of evidence to prosecute the two men of gay sex” because in Islam law there must be at least for witnesses to a case before an evidence would be establish. Islamic court started trying people arrested late last year for alleged homosexual crimes.


Same sex marriage is banned in Nigeria by the national assembly and approved by the president.
