Urgent Requirement
Job description Inventory Accountant
Updating the inventory monitor system, ensuring accuracy and adequacy.
Reconcile
inventory (including spares) deliveries with purchase orders and or agreed
contract terms, and raise non-conformity reports where applicable.
Ensure
that all items of inventory delivered to Company’s warehouse are correctly
recorded.
Ensure
proper records and classification in terms of cost and quantity of all item
carried in inventory both LLM, engineering materials and spares.
Maintain
adequate and accurate documentation to enable correct charge-out of inventory
items to wells, projects and production operations.
Reconcile
physical inventory to book records on periodic bases.
Facilitate
quarterly inventory counts.
Reviewing
inventory ledger entries to ensure proper coding and classification.
Preparing
Monthly inventory analysis sheets (receipts, issues, consumptions and returns)
and circulate to applicable stake holders within the organization.
Period
visitations to rig site and keeping track of all items on inventory at the
locations.
Liaise
with materials expediters to ensure proper tracking of all orders as relates to
inventory and related supplies.
Partake
actively in the month-end closing process especially in the areas of inventory
accounting.
Other
cost monitoring and reporting functions as may be assigned from time to time
Requirements Inventory Accountant
Minimum
of 7 years Inventory accounting experience. A degree Holder. A degree in Accounting/Finance
is an advantage
Accurate
inventory tracking and reporting and financial controls surrounding inventory
Excel,
word and presentation skills as well as good ERP appreciation (previous
use/familiarity with Sun systems 6 will be an added advantage)
